So, after 300+ applications on my two-month jobhunt, I finally got a call for an interview. Put it this way, it is actually my first official interview, since the APESMA one doesn't count because I already got the job before hand, thanks to Jan.
Waking up 830am in the morning hasn't actually been my daily ritual, but with some coffee, and anticipation of the interview, I finally got going. So with new office shoes I've been dreading to wear, I head out to catch the bus to Oakleigh, then transit the Box Hill. Left the house at 930am, and I was so nearly late for the interview, reached there 11am sharp with a constant look on the time during the whole travelling period.
So anyway, this company that I'm headed for was an agent for a client, where if successful, I'll be working for. I thought the interview went alright, it was a relax environment, where he (Peter) explained to me the job at hand, the expected requirements, the client's company background, the salary package (35k to 40k for starters) and also cracking a joke or two. There was a short form for me to fill in too, namely questions like "what are my stengths", "whats my short term and long term plan", all these already the expected questions to be asked, and questions which I am prepared for. I was made to break sweat though as there were some practical accountancy questions to complete too. But digging back the dusted knowledge in the far corner of my mind, it all went well.
So I made the long journey back home. And about 5pm, Peter gave me a call. He said he have arranged for me to meet the client for a second interview tomorrow at Mount Waverley, my first reaction was "Whoa, so fast?". But of course I went on the agree and I'll be heading to the company tomorrow, this time, its only 2km from where I live. And straight after the interview, I have to go for my Hazard Perception Test at Oakleigh for my Victorian License. Sounds like a busy day, but it is damn well better than being idle.
Oh here are the websites for the agent and client, maybe you're interested in looking at it, lol.
